Terms of use

Applies to researcher and participant accounts on mh2research.com and the mH² mobile app.

  1. Operator. The platform is operated by Coding Here & There Mateusz Daniol, 31-334 Kraków, Poland, contact@mh2research.com. Use is offered free of charge to research teams and their participants during the pilot phase.
  2. Accounts. You must provide a valid e-mail address and keep your password confidential. Your password also protects the encryption keys generated on your device; we cannot recover data encrypted for you if you lose it and have no recovery phrase. Researcher accounts are created by the operator on request; participant accounts are self-registered.
  3. Research studies. Studies are designed and run by the researchers who create them. They are responsible for ethics approval, the content of consent documents, and the lawful use of the data they collect. The operator provides the software, hosting and encryption infrastructure and does not access readable health data.
  4. Acceptable use. Do not attempt to access other users' data, circumvent access controls, upload malicious content, or use the service for purposes other than the studies you take part in or run. Researchers must not enrol participants without informed consent and must not attempt to re-identify participants beyond what their protocol allows.
  5. Availability. The service is provided as a research pilot without guaranteed availability; planned maintenance and incidents are published at https://mh2.betteruptime.com/. We keep encrypted backups but cannot guarantee against data loss caused by lost keys.
  6. Liability. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect damages or for decisions made on the basis of data collected through the platform. The platform is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment.
  7. Termination. You may delete your account at any time. The operator may suspend accounts that violate these terms or endanger the security of the service.
  8. Governing law. Polish law; disputes in the courts competent for Kraków, Poland.
  9. Privacy. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
